Thank you for stopping by my little corner of the interwebs. This blog is a way for me to document some of my recipes, (hopefully) improve my photography skills, and explore my deep-seeded love of all things food.
A little about me: I’m a student affairs professional by day, “food enthusiast” by night. I was a vegetarian for many years until very recently and my tendency to eat a heavily plant-based diet is evident in my recipes. My tendency to eat a lot of dessert is also very evident. I make no apologies.
I love food and everything about it. Everything from meal-planning to grocery shopping to prepping and cooking and baking. I love to read about food, learn about food, and look at food. Most of all, I love the way a simple meal can bring people together.
Most of the recipes you’ll find on this blog are either balanced, plant-heavy meals or ridiculously over-the-top desserts. We’re all about moderation over here.
I recently moved back to my home state of Oregon with my taste-tester, chemist-in-residence, and husband, Mr. Peach. We spent the past five years in Ann Arbor, Michigan and managed to bring back a souvenir in the form of a small pit/hound mix named Gertrude (affectionately dubbed “Trudydog”). She enjoys belly rubs, baby carrots, and watermelon. She just gets me.
Thanks for visiting!
